Months inbetween is just stupid, and is counterproductive because it reduces fun and motivation to enjoy what should be welcome and fun content. If for some reason you don't want it up all the time, fine, but let it cycle more frequently. Knowing that after next week I won't be able to work on it or work on any other challenges has created entirely artificial pressure that it'd be months before I could get at it, and is making me resent the challenge instead of enjoying it. What's frustrating is the very limited windows of opportunity (when already there's not much going on in game). Reminded me of staying up too late doing some mage tower pulls during legion and how fun it was to actually complete. Then the familiar mage tower hook set in where I was really enjoying the challenge, that the only way through it was to analyze, optimize, and use everything at my disposal in my toolkit. First sensation to kick in was frustration. I've only started working on one challenge so far. I started playing at actual endgame and max level in legion, and did some of the challenges before the end state when artifacts were maxed out and all of that, while some where it was trivialized by our ilvl and artifact level. I really agree with this sentiment- was talking about it with a friend. But the current time limitations are not applicable to many and its a shame. Ideally, it can always be available to try. Just give us time to engage with it more frequently. Month on month off? 3 weeks up 3 down? Cool. If you want it to be up and down periodically thats fine. Maybe I can put many hours into it, but I also maybe could. I cant speak for whats going to happen during that time. ![]() Then the next time it comes out around four months later, I have half the time to engage with it. Between work and studying for finals then traveling for the holidays the following week, I just cant put forth the time. ![]() If it takes a much more invested player 3-6 hours to complete the tower then I can probably safely add more to the time, and right now its just not time I have to dedicate to the tower. But the current iteration of the mage towers a availability goes against how I am able to engage with the game. I havent been terribly engaged with wow so its not that big of a deal for me. And this isnt a crying post, im not upset by not getting it. This is personal, so others circumstances will obviously vary. 14 days may seem a lot to some, but to others it not nearly enough. For some, it would be more than achievable at its current difficulty, but time is not on their side for completing it. Its a little exhausting to be told by those that are able to dedicate a lot of time to the tower to complete it, and already have the skill necessary to beat the challenge that we need to give it time. If people had the time to engage with the content on their own time and put in proper tries.
